Overview

The GE Fanuc 90-70 Programming, Maintenance and Troubleshooting  Course has been designed to familiarize Electricians, Technicians and Maintenance Engineers with little or no experience of GE Fanuc systems to the different aspects associated with the operation, Programming, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of GE Fanuc controllers and the programming software. This course is intended to give Participants the background knowledge and practical experience in working on a GE Fanuc system so that they have a good understanding of the system and have the ability to make small edits and make changes to program parameters. Where possible, application specific exercises, actual drawings and plant programs will be used to allow the Participants to gain the greatest possible benefit from the course.

Moreover, This training course introduces the Participants to programming techniques and instructions that will assist them in successfully configuring and programming an GE Fanuc 90-70  PLC system using GE-Fanuc Proficy Machine edition software, and provides them with the knowledge and practice to interpret, isolate, and diagnose common hardware problems related to noise, power, & I/O. We will deepen their theoretical knowledge with numerous practical exercises on GE-Fanuc Proficy Machine edition programming platform.

There will be an introduction to safety integrated concepts as well. The delegate will set up communication between CPUs based on Industrial Ethernet. The participant will learn to diagnose and clear simple hardware faults and software errors. Thus they will be capable of reducing downtimes in their plant

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participants shall be able to:

  • Recognize and understand the concepts, terminology and operation of GE Fanuc 90-70 Controllers.

  • Recognize and understand the hardware associated with GE Fanuc 90-70 controllers. 

  • Recognize and understand what the system LED’s indicate.

Who Should Attend

  • System engineers or technicians who program, configure, add to or change the controller configuration

  • Maintenance engineers or technicians who add new control loops or troubleshoot existing loops

  • Others, whose job functions include performing these tasks

Course Methodology

  • The BK Management Team believes that learning is not only about acquiring technical skills, it is also about learning behaviors & Competencies that are desirable for work in plant operation & maintenance, critical dimensions. Our holistic teaching develops our delegates' personal effectiveness to function both as individuals and as team players.

  • The course delivery & modes of instruction will incorporate Hands-on Practical Sessions using equipment, State-of-the-Art Simulators (as required), Drawings, Case Studies, Videos, Exercises, Theory, Practical skills, and Q&A sessions.

  • To enhance learning outcomes, theory sessions will comprise classroom-based lectures that will be interspersed with interactive discussions, scenario-based, case-study, group exercises, video clips, PowerPoint slides, learners' Guide, and the application of various tools, which will be provided to help the delegates and participants of the learning objectives. With the successful implementation of the learnt skills, they are bound to enhance Individual & Organizational growth.

  • For online / Interactive Virtual sessions, the Delegate should have a stable & good Internet connection on their Laptop.
